8 BLOGGING MISTAKES

Starting a blog is not an easy thing to do. There are different hard tasks to tackle before proceeding on posting or whatever. Lots of blogger will agree on my conclusion that the hardest thing to do when blogging is thinking the name of the blog. Next is selecting category of your blog and lastly, what to post.


To find a right path on blogging, I researched about blogging mistakes to make me avoid them and unconsciously apply it to my blogs. Here’s the list from the youtube video I watched (I also explained and summarized)…


BLOGGING MISTAKES:

1. Making it a diary 
• When blogging started, It was known as an online journal. 
• Actually, Its not about you, Its about them (READERS) 
• Readers does not care about what you do unless you’re an idol. What they need are values or information that they can use to know or learn something new the don’t know. 
• Content should be valuable for them.
2. Writing too often 
• If you write to often, readers tend not to read your blog. They are being overwhelmed! 
• Everyday is too often. Maybe at least 1 or 2 or 3 times a week. But I think, 3 times a week is still to often. 
3. Writing too seldom 
• If you write to seldom, readers may forget the heck out of you. They may forget the Blog name or whoever you are! 
• Seldom writing may be 1 to 4 times a month 
4. Writing infrequently 
• Writing without expected time of publishing may make the readers not to read your latest post. 
• Make a pattern on posting so readers will have an idea when to check your blog.
5. Hoping for Search Engine Traffic 
• Almost everyone do this. 
• Most bloggers want their blog to be searched on google. ( Hahaha! Just like what I want before I researched about these things.) 
• Based on the seminar I watched, that was the most STUPID thing a blogger is thinking. 
• Bloggers should not depend on search engines because IT WILL NEVER GONNA HAPPEN~. 
• FORGET ABOUT SEARCH ENGINES! They will ignore you tremendously 
6. Not allowing conversation 
• There should be a comment box or whatever that can make the readers interact or react rather. 
• Just like in a conversation, its freaking nonsense if the only one talking is you or the one you are talking to. 
• Seeing a lot of comments from readers will make you know how interesting your blog is. 
• It is better to see hundred words from me (Blogger) and thousand words from you (Readers) 
• ITS BORING! 
7. Not moderating the conversation 
• Today,most comments are becoming so freaking nonsense! Very stupid. 
• People always make fun of serious things on internet and post it on sites that post funny things. If you don’t moderate your comment box, Your blog will become an infestation of stupid commentators and making the serious readers not to interact with the real meaning of your post/blog. 
• It is true that stupid comments are funny but they should also be moderated to avoid losing the essence of your post/blog. 
• Don’t apply the concept of being free to express your self if your blog has serious matters to discuss. Having a free conversation box is only necessary if your blog is intended for funny stupid things. 
8. Not even starting 
• Waiting for a miracle to happen before publishing your blog? 
• It is important to start your blog or else it will be on the draft box forever! 

I don’t know why I only got 8 on the video though the title is 10 blogging mistakes ahahaha. I have nothing against Mr. Nisande but correct me if I missed something.
